Storz & Bickel Mighty Review –
From the company that brought us the Volcano, we now have a pocket-sized, battery powered vape code-named the Mighty. This vape pen is designed and built in Germany, ensuring superior engineering standards. It has a vent at the bottom of the Mighty, so when you inhale, it draws air from the surroundings, using convection to heat up your bud. The benefits of convection over conduction include:
- More space between the heater and the chamber, leading to less wasted weed
- Hot air ensures the weed gets consumed more completely
- Evenly distributed heating enhances the flavour of your weed
Some vape pens are powered by fans, but the Mighty uses the power of your lungs, assisted by a vent at the bottom of the vaporizer. When you inhale, the intake of air triggers the heating element, which warms up all the air inside the chamber. The now hot air floats up into the herb chamber, where it heats the herb, releasing all those good vibrations. Because the hot air moves in a single column, all the weed gets heated simultaneously, ensuring a more thorough burn and intensifying the flavour of your weed. It can heat up from 40°C to 120°C.
Storz & Bickel Mighty Review : Powered for perfection
The two batteries built into the vape can be recharged using a power chord, which comes with the device. It also has a battery-saver, meaning if you don’t inhale for a pre-set time, it shuts itself off, conserving charge. It has an elegant design with a dark, masculine, utilitarian aesthetic. It’s a dual vape, so you can use it both for dry weed and hemp oil or wax. The pack is mighty comprehensive, with its own power cable, wall charger, grinder, filler, herb capsule, and spare parts (screens and o-rings) for home repairs. It also has a wax / oil pad made of steel wool, and a stiff brush to clean your vaporizer. At R5,600, it’s on the higher side, but all the accompanying accessories make it worth the price.
